Hi, I’m Shakila Hatami, a UX designer with a passion for creating innovative, user-centered solutions that make digital interactions seamless and enjoyable.
With an academic background in UX and Service Design from Ulster University and hands-on experience in both design and content creation, I combine creativity, empathy, and technical skills to bring ideas to life.
The moment I got into the Tehran University of Art to study Industrial Design, my life changed forever. Immersing myself in a design-based discipline transformed not only how I think but also how I perceive the world around me. It was here that I realized the profound impact design can have—not just aesthetically but also functionally, improving lives in meaningful ways.
As I continued my journey, my passion for creating user-centered solutions grew stronger, leading me to pursue a master’s degree in UX and Service Design at Ulster University. This experience refined my skills and deepened my understanding of the design process, from user research to delivering holistic solutions. Throughout this journey, I have been fortunate to be encouraged and affirmed by friends, classmates, and collaborators who believe in my ability to make a real difference through design.
When I’m not designing, you’ll likely find me exploring new destinations and immersing myself in different cultures—I try to travel as much as I can. Photography is another passion of mine; I used to share my work professionally on Instagram, but now it has become a personal and enjoyable pastime, allowing me to capture moments that inspire me.
I’m also a big fan of storytelling, whether it’s through movies, series, or story-based podcasts. Music is a constant companion in my life, fueling my creativity and energy. And, of course, nothing compares to spending quality time with my loved ones, sharing laughter and making memories together.
Let’s create something amazing together! If you’d like to learn more about my work, discuss a project, or simply connect, feel free to reach out or explore my portfolio.
