TaskTide is an innovative desktop application designed to assist students in managing procrastination and writer's block, thereby enhancing their academic performance and overall well-being.

Design Challenge:
How might we help students overcome procrastination and writer's block while effectively managing their academic, professional, and personal responsibilities?

Developed as my Master’s final project at Ulster University, TaskTide integrates several advanced features:

  • Intuitive Interface: Simplifies task management and enhances user engagement.
  • Functional Widget: Provides quick access to essential tools and real-time progress tracking.
  • Productivity Tools: Incorporates a Pomodoro timer, procrastination challenges, and stress management techniques to maintain focus and efficiency.
  • Task Breakdown: Assists in dividing complex tasks into manageable steps, reducing overwhelm.
  • Target Audience: Tailored specifically for master's and PhD students striving to balance academic workloads with personal life.

TaskTide serves as a comprehensive solution, empowering students to tackle procrastination, manage stress, and achieve their academic goals effectively.

Nourish

Nourish is an innovative service design project addressing the critical issue of hunger and malnutrition among the elderly. Developed in collaboration with Big Motive in Belfast, Northern Ireland, this real-life project leverages design thinking to create a meaningful and impactful solution.

The project focuses on a two-fold system:

  1. Smart TV App for Elderly Users: A user-friendly platform that provides AI-powered meal reminders and analyzes daily eating habits, empowering elderly individuals to maintain a healthy diet.
  2. Tablet App for Carers: A dedicated app for caregivers and healthcare providers to monitor users' dietary habits, receive insights, and intervene when necessary.

Key Features and Achievements:

  • AI-Powered Nutritional Analysis: Tracks and analyzes eating habits to send personalized reminders and suggestions.
  • Collaborative Care Network: Connects elderly users, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure consistent monitoring and support.
  • Human-Centered Research & Co-Creation: Through workshops and stakeholder collaboration, the project uncovered key barriers such as difficulty remembering meal times and limited digital literacy among elderly users. These insights directly shaped the design, ensuring accessibility and ease of use.

Nourish exemplifies the power of service design in creating sustainable solutions that address complex societal challenges, particularly in the healthcare sector.

EasyNav

EasyNav is an accessibility solution designed to empower elderly individuals (55-70) to navigate mobile devices with confidence. This project bridges the digital divide by addressing challenges like limited digital literacy and unfamiliarity with app interfaces, fostering independence in an increasingly digital world.

Key Features:

  1. Simplified Application: A user-friendly app providing step-by-step guidance for essential tasks like making calls or purchasing tickets.
  2. Always-On Accessibility Rectangle: A dynamic, on-screen feature acting as a virtual assistant, simplifying app navigation and enhancing usability.

Project Focus:
This project aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, emphasizing inclusive and equitable education for all. The objective was to address the digital literacy gap for older individuals, ensuring they could access essential services, stay connected with loved ones, and thrive in a rapidly digitizing world.

Design Process:

  • Human-Centered Research: In-depth user research uncovered barriers such as low digital confidence and difficulty navigating unfamiliar interfaces. These insights directly informed design decisions to create a solution that addressed these pain points.
  • Iterative Prototyping: By testing and refining interactive prototypes, the design achieved a balance between simplicity and functionality, ensuring an accessible experience for users with varying levels of tech-savviness.
  • Service Design Approach: Beyond the UI/UX, the project adopted a holistic service design mindset to ensure the solution addressed the broader context of user needs, from emotional support to technical usability.

EasyNav empowers elderly users to confidently interact with digital devices, reducing their dependence on others while fostering a sense of independence and connectivity. Its dual functionality—a simple app for guided navigation and an always-on accessibility tool—provides comprehensive support that enhances usability and inclusivity.

Sew & Save

Sew and Save is an innovative mobile application designed to combat the environmental and ethical challenges of fast fashion. This project utilizes design thinking principles to inspire sustainable practices, encouraging users to upcycle their clothing and reduce waste.

How Might We (HMW) Question:
How might we improve sustainability by getting people to look at what they already own instead of buying new?

Key Features:

  1. AI-Driven Upcycling Guidance: Enables users to input details of unwanted clothing and receive AI-generated redesign suggestions tailored to their skill level and available tools—for instance, transforming a maxi dress into a stylish mini dress.
  2. Environmental Impact Visualization: Offers feedback on the environmental benefits of each completed project, including water savings and waste reduction.
  3. Community Integration: Provides a dedicated space for users to connect with like-minded individuals, access local tailors, and find workshops or facilities to support their creative endeavors.

Sustainability Focus:
Aligned with a circular economy, Sew and Save supports the reuse, repair, and upcycling of textiles to reduce landfill waste and greenhouse gas emissions. By combining technology, education, and creativity, the app empowers users to embrace sustainable fashion and rethink their consumption habits.

User-Centered Design:
Grounded in insights gathered through user research, the app addresses common barriers such as lack of time, knowledge, and resources. Its intuitive interface, actionable recommendations, and community-driven features make sustainable practices accessible and engaging for diverse audiences.

Sew and Save goes beyond functionality to foster a movement, transforming fast fashion into a platform for education, creativity, and environmental action.

Mabna ERP

Overview:
Mabna ERP, a product of Mabna, is a powerful enterprise resource planning system designed to streamline business operations, financial management, and customer interactions. Initially built with an outdated interface, the system underwent a complete UI/UX transformation to align with modern design standards, improving usability, accessibility, and overall user experience.

Key Improvements & Features:

  • Complete UI/UX Overhaul: Led a full design system refinement, replacing outdated visuals with a modern, scalable, and user-friendly interface.
  • Typography & Readability Upgrade: Replaced the legacy system font with a contemporary typeface to enhance readability and accessibility.
  • Component-Based Design System: Built a unified design language, ensuring a cohesive experience across all ERP modules and future updates.
  • Newly Designed Sections & Features: Added multiple new sections to enhance functionality and improve workflow efficiency (let me know if you want to specify the most significant ones).

My Role:

  • Revamped the entire design system, bringing the platform up to modern UI/UX standards.
  • Conducted usability analysis and iterated on the interface to ensure efficiency and ease of use.
  • Designed new features and sections, refining both the visual identity and functional structure of the ERP system.

This transformation significantly improved the user experience, efficiency, and scalability of Mabna ERP, making it a future-proof solution for business management.

MoobiX Salesman

Overview

MoobiX Salesman, a product of Mabna, is a mobile application designed to streamline the daily operations of sales representatives, helping them efficiently manage orders, track clients, and handle ticketing processes. As part of the MoobiX super app ecosystem, this tool plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication between sales teams and distributors.

The Challenge

The original MoobiX Salesman app had an outdated user flow and an inconsistent design system that made it difficult for sales reps to navigate their tasks efficiently. The app also needed new features to support a more dynamic and structured sales process. Additionally, an English version was required, which had to be completely redesigned while maintaining the integrity of the original Persian version.

My Approach & Key Contributions

  • Refined the UX & User Flow: Redesigned the daily ticketing and ordering system, optimizing the workflow to ensure a smoother, more efficient process for sales reps.
  • Design System Overhaul: Updated the entire design system to align with modern UI/UX standards, ensuring visual consistency across the MoobiX ecosystem.
  • Color & Theme Optimization: Adjusted the app's color scheme to create a more cohesive brand identity and improve usability.
  • Feature Expansion: Added numerous new features, enhancing the functionality and user experience.
  • Complete Redesign for the English Version: Independently designed and implemented the English version, including translating and integrating all content and UI elements, ensuring a seamless bilingual experience.

By refining MoobiX Salesman, I helped create a more intuitive, feature-rich, and visually consistent tool that empowers sales teams to operate with greater efficiency and accuracy.

 

MedRep

Overview

MedRep was one of the first medical representative applications in Iran, developed by Mabna to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of pharmaceutical sales representatives. The app aimed to streamline appointment management, provide instant access to product information, and facilitate data-driven sales strategies, bridging the gap between sales reps and healthcare professionals.

The Challenge

Starting with nothing but a project brief from Mabna's CEO and product owner, Medrep required a complete design process—from conceptualization to execution. The challenge was to build a robust, user-friendly app with minimal initial assets, navigating stakeholder expectations and defining the product’s core functionality through iterative design and development.

My Approach & Key Contributions

  • Project Ownership: Took full ownership of the design process, working closely with stakeholders to shape the product vision and translate business requirements into actionable design solutions.
  • Research & Validation: Conducted user interviews and competitive analysis to define pain points, identify user needs, and benchmark industry standards.
  • User Flow & Wireframing: Designed comprehensive user flows and wireframes, ensuring seamless navigation and an intuitive interface.
  • Prototyping & UI Design: Developed high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, focusing on a clean, professional design that prioritized usability and quick access to critical features.
  • Stakeholder Management: Facilitated regular meetings with the CEO, product owner, and other stakeholders to align expectations, gather feedback, and iterate on designs.
  • Feature Development: Implemented key features, including appointment scheduling, sales tracking, and product catalog integration, enhancing productivity and sales performance.

Strategic Market Positioning: Introduced one of the pioneering MedRep solutions in Iran, establishing Mabna as an innovator in the pharmaceutical sales industry.
Stakeholder Satisfaction: Delivered a fully developed app concept, ready for the development phase, which met the needs of both the business and end-users.
Optimized Sales Processes: Empowered MedReps with tools to manage appointments, track sales performance, and access critical information on the go.

By leading the Medrep project from ideation to delivery, I demonstrated my ability to drive end-to-end design projects, manage stakeholder relationships, and create impactful, user-centric solutions in emerging markets.

KrooX

Overview:
KrooX, a product of Mabna, is a mobile application designed to help businesses assess their customers' financial credibility by providing real-time verification of check validity and creditworthiness. The app streamlines financial risk management for organizations by offering a seamless, integrated experience with Mabna ERP.

Key Features:

  • Check Validity Verification: Enables businesses to verify the validity of customers' checks with a single tap.
  • Credit Score Tracking: Provides an overview of a customer's financial background, helping businesses make informed decisions.
  • ERP Integration: Designed an integrated system that connects Mabna ERP to KrooX, featuring a dedicated button next to text fields in Mabna ERP for quick check verification.
  • Enhanced Usability: The app underwent multiple rounds of usability testing, leading to rapid improvements and additional feature developments.
  • Consistent Design System: Created a unified design system inspired by Mabna's product ecosystem, ensuring a cohesive user experience across platforms.

My Role:

  • Led the end-to-end UX/UI design of KrooX, from initial research and wireframing to final high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Conducted usability testing, analyzed user feedback, and iterated rapidly to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Designed the integration mechanism between Mabna ERP and KrooX, ensuring a seamless workflow for businesses verifying financial data.
  • Developed a scalable design system, maintaining consistency with other Mabna products while tailoring the UI/UX for KrooX’s unique needs.
